The UCR Stem Cell Core recently acquired new space nearby the existing Core. The new space, which almost doubles Core floor space, will enable addition of new pieces of equipment in the future and the addition of one new cell culture room which will be set up this coming year. Also existing equipment will now all be located near the main Core and equipment that was previously impacted is being relocated to new space so that it will be easier to access and use. The new space also includes access to a small conference room that will be used for teaching CMDB 211 (hands-on laboratory in stem cell biology) and for teaching classes to the CIRM Bridges students.
